Programming

Programming Mode

The programming interface can be any dual timer. The top timer switch will be designated as [B] for Back. The bottom timer switch will be designated as [F] for Front. The top display will be used to show values and the bottom display will be used to show menu items. For instance the speaker volume would have a value of “1-10” in the top display and the bottom display would have “Loud”. The [F] button will be used to step through the menu items and the [B] button will be used to change the value of the selected item. The use of the [F] button always steps forward through programming. The programming menu is as follows:

  1. Speaker volume. (1-10).

  2. Speaker frequency. (1000-1500 Hz by 50Hz steps).

  3. Hold breakfast timer values. (00:00 – 99:59 mm:ss).

  4. Drop breakfast timer alarm values. (00:00 – 99:59 mm:ss).

  5. Hold lunch timer values. (00:00 – 99:59 mm:ss).

  6. Drop lunch timer alarm values. (00:00 – 99:59 mm:ss).

  7. Initialize to defaults. The current default values are: Volume = 10, Frequency = 1300 Hz, Fry timer set point = 7:00 (mm:ss), Fry timer alarm set point = 3:30, Nugget timer set point = 30:00, Nugget timer alarm set point = 5:00, Strip timer set point = 30:00, Strip timer alarm set point = 5:00. Breakfast dual timers: 45:00 hold time, 5:00 drop alarm. Breakfast single timers: 15:00 hold time, 4:00 drop alarm.

NOTE: Each timer can be programmed for its individual hold and drop alarm times. However, when initializing to defaults, the outside dual timer will always be initialized to strips and the inside dual timer will be initialized to nuggets.

Entering and Exiting Program Mode

  1. Turn the timer power switch off.

  2. Turn the power switch on and wait until “-HP-“ is displayed (immediately after the “88:88” is displayed).

  3. While “-HP-“ is being displayed push and hold the [B] button of any dual timer.

  4. The top display will show “0 - - -“, the bottom display will show “CodE”. This is the password area for entrance into the programming area. Use the [B] button to increment through the numbers 0-9. Once the correct number is chosen, push the [F] button to select the value and move on to the next digit. The display would then show “- 0 - - “. Repeat through each step of the four digit code. Once the last digit is entered and selected correctly, programming mode will be entered. If the wrong value is entered, the control will sound an alarm and display “ bad”, “CodE”. Push [B] or [F] to cancel alarm and resume normal mode. The audible switch feed back will be removed from this area so that no one can hear the codes being entered. The password is currently “1234”.

  5. “Loud” is in menu display. The volume is in the value display. Use [B] to change the value. Once the value is chosen, press [F] to move on to the next menu item.

  6. “ FrE” is in menu display. The frequency is in the value display. Use [B] to change the value. Once the value is chosen, press [F] to move on to the next menu item.

  7. “Hold” is in menu display. “-br-“ is in the menu display of the other dual timer designating this as a breakfast hold time. Each timer’s hold time is in the value display. The first digit will be blinking. Use each timer’s [B] button to change the digits value (for single timers just use the single timer button). Use [F] to move on to the next digit. Upon choosing the last digit (pushing [F]) the next menu item will be displayed.

  8. “droP” is in menu display. “-br-“ is in the menu display of the other dual timer designating this as a breakfast drop time. Each timer’s drop alarm time is in the value display. The first digit will be blinking. Use each timer’s [B] button to change the digits value (for single timers just use the single timer button). Use [F] to move on to the next digit. Upon choosing the last digit (pushing [F]) the next menu item will be displayed.

  9. “Hld2” is in menu display. “-Ln-“ is in the menu display of the other dual timer designating this as a lunch hold time. Each timer’s hold time is in the value display. The first digit will be blinking. Use each timer’s [B] button to change the digits value (for single timers just use the single timer button). Use [F] to move on to the next digit. Upon choosing the last digit (pushing [F]) the next menu item will be displayed.

  10. “drP2” is in menu display. “-Ln-“ is in the menu display of the other dual timer designating this as a lunch drop time.

  11. “ InI” is in menu display. Push and hold the [B] button and “In-3, In-2, In-1; followed by “InI”, “SyS”, “done” will be displayed in value display.

  12. Program/Password mode is exited if no switches are pressed for 2 minutes, or if the timer power switch is turned off, or if the [F] button is held for 5 seconds.

Resume Timing Through Power Down

If the power is lost while a timer is running, the values will be retained for when the power is restored. The timer will power up in the same lunch or breakfast mode it was powered down in.
