Momentary Switch Replacement

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power.

Set the multimeter to ohms for this procedure.

  1. Ensure power is removed from the fryer.

  2. Use a cross-tip head screwdriver to remove two screws in the front of the control panel.

  3. Rotate the panel down and remove if necessary.

  4. Place the momentary switch in the ON position.

  5. Use a multimeter test across the switch terminals.

  6. Place the momentary switch in the OFF position.

  7. Use a multimeter test across the switch terminals

  8. With the switch in the ON position, the circuit should be closed. With the switch in the OFF position, the circuit should be open. If the switch checks defective, replace by continuing with this procedure.

  9. Disconnect the wires from the momentary switch..

  10. Push in on the tabs to remove front panel.

  11. Press the new switch in to the front panel.

  12. Reconnect the wires.

  13. Install the control panel and test the new switch to ensure it works properly.
