Replacing the Filter Pan Lid Gasket

Replace the filter pan lid gasket whenever it becomes cracked, brittle, or otherwise damaged.

1. Remove the filter pan.

2. Use a 1/4 in. nut driver or wrench to remove (x4) cap nuts from the underside of the filter pan lid (escutcheon plate).

3. Separate the escutcheon plate from the worn escutcheon plate gasket.

   1. Discard old worn escutcheon plate gasket.

   2. Clean the escutcheon plate.

4. Install the escutcheon plate gasket and the escutcheon plate.

5. Use a 1/4 in. nut driver or wrench to install (x4) cap nuts on the underside of the filter pan lid (escutcheon plate).

6. Install the filter pan.
