Replacing ATO (JIB) Pump

Only perform this procedure when the fryer is cool or severe burns may result.

Preparing Fryer

  1. Turn power switch off.

  2. Ensure fryer is cool to the touch before moving.

  3. Pull out the fryer and unplug from power source.

Replacing ATO (JIB) Pump

  1. Using drill with crosstip bit or screwdriver, remove 7 screws securing rear panel. Remove panel and set aside.

  2. Using drill with crosstip bit or screwdriver, remove 6 screws securing side panel. Remove side panel and set it aside.

  3. Push in blue buttons to release elbow and straight fitting from pump.

  4. Using 7/16 in (11 mm) socket or nut driver, remove 2 nuts securing pump to fryer.

  5. Unplug wire connector.

  6. Cut zip ties as needed.

  7. Locate new ATO (JIB) pump assembly from kit and install on fryer. Reinstall 2 nuts and tighten using 7/16 in (11 mm) socket or nut driver.

  8. Reattach elbow and straight fitting to pump.

  9. Reattach wire connector and zip tie wires as needed.

  10. Replace side panel and tighten screws using drill with crosstip bit or screwdriver.

  11. Replace rear cover and tighten screws using drill with crosstip bit or screwdriver.

  12. In reverse order, complete steps 3 through 1 in Preparing Fryer, and return fryer to operation.
