Installing or Replacing the Shelf
The heated shelves must be replaced if heaters inside the shelves are faulty.

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |

Only perform this procedure when the unit is cool or severe burns may result. |

Unplug both sides of the shelf.

Lift shelf from unit.

Using a multimeter or ohm meter check ohm rating of the shelf at the right-hand cord and plug assembly. The ohm rating should be around 80 ohms.

If shelf heaters are faulty, twist bulb and remove from shelf.

Remove the 4 acorn nuts securing the lamp fixture to the shelf and remove the fixture.

Install the light fixture to the new shelf.

Install fluorescent bulb back into fixture and place new shelf back into the unit.
The drawing below is the slot arrangement (right and left) for the brackets of the shelves of the HEC. The lines point to the slot that the top prong of the bracket fits into.
