Replacing the Water Control Switch

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |

Remove electrical power supplied to the cabinet.

Remove the control side end panel.

Remove the electrical wires from the switch. Using a test instrument, check across the terminals of the switch with the switch in the AUTOMATIC and MANUAL position; then in the OFF position. With the switch in the AUTOMATIC or MANUAL position, the circuit should be closed. With the switch in the 0 or OFF position, the circuit should be open. If the switch checks defective, replace by continuing with this procedure.

Remove the nut and guard from the control panel side of the switch and remove the switch.

Install a new switch in reverse order.

Replace the end panel.

Turn on the power supply at the breaker box.
