Realigning the Lid

Overview

The 8 Head lid can come out of alignment.

An out of alignment lid has one side of the lid resting higher than another side of the lid.

Procedure

1. Close and lock the lid.

   Placing a lot of weight on top will force the lid to sit fully down in the correct position.

2. Put a ratchet strap around the lid cover.

3. Identify the eight bolts on each side of the lid that attach the hook arm.

4. Remove one bolt at a time.

5. Replace the split ring washer for each.

6. Retighten each bolt one at a time.

   Tightening the bolts all at once will put the lid out of alignment.
