Replace Nylatron Slides on PFG 690 and 691
Required tools
Crosstip head screwdriver
Electric drill
Flat-head screwdriver

Locate electric drill.

Remove the top cap.

Remove the back cover.
-
Remove screw on the bottom of the old slide.
-
Remove the five screws from each guide, one guide on each side.
-
The old guides may be plastic, which is why the kit contains aluminum guides.

Slide the two guides up and remove in order to free the slide.
-
By gently rotating the slide and then pulling, the slide may be removed from the lid support.

The bottom slide should be rotated in the opposite direction.
-
Install the new slides in reverse order.

The top slide should be behind the bottom slide at the lid support. This is purely for aesthetics.

One end of the guide rail has a slot.
-
Guide the aluminum rails into the channel with the slot toward the bottom. Ensure to align the Nylatron slides in the groove of the rails that is cut out.

The slot allows the rail to fit past the metal of the counter top.

Attach the rails with the screws removed previously.

Replace the top cap and the back panel.
-
Unit is now ready for use.
