To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |
The following wires share the same terminal:
-
#9 and #49,
-
#10 and #99
-
#11 and #50
-
#44 and #45
-
#64 and #65
-
#12 and #51
-
Remove electrical power supplied to the cabinet.

Remove the upper and lower side panels on the control side of the unit.

Remove the two water heater cover plates closest to the contorl panel.
-
Remove all existing wire ties.
-
Replace the wires in the unit with the wires in the kit.
-
Disconnect water heater wires #26 and #30, #27, #31, #71, and #30, #72 and #31. Re-connect these wires using the larger wire and the larger wire nuts, provided in the kit.

Cut wire #10 from the power indicator light, where it plugs into the switch.

Strip this wire and attach the short wire on the new #10 wire from the kit, to the indicator light. Use the small wire nut removed earlier.

Plug the new #10 into the swtich.

Use the provided wire ties to neatly dress the heater wires, then replace the access panels.

Continue replacing the wires in the control panel area.

Use the provided wire ties to neatly dress the wires in the control panel area.
-
Replace the upper and lower side panels.
-
Unit is now ready for operation.
