Troubleshooting EEG 24X Zigbee Radio Connection
Overview
Complete the procedure when the control is not registering the radio or the radio is not registered in the network system.
There are several wires from our control to the radio. Those wires do two things:
-
provide power to the radio
-
provide the communications signals for full duplex communications
Field Troubleshooting
Checking Power Connection
-
Check if the power light on the radio is illuminated.
-
Do one of the following:
-
If the power light is not, check the power cables are connected correctly. The radio needs 12VDC. If the power wires are reversed, the radio will not work due to insufficient power.
-
If the power light is illuminated and the radio is powered on, then check the control in two button info mode for the radio mac address.
If a value exists in the radio mac address display, then the control was able to connect with the radio and receive the mac address from the radio.
Example MAC address:
High - 0013A200
Low - 40C80944
MAC address = 0013A20040C80944.
