Initial Oil Fill

Read all the Warnings and Notices, and then proceed to Purging the Oil Lines.

Overflow Risk

  • The oil may be stirred only during the morning start up procedure. Do not stir the oil at any other time.

To avoid personal injury and fire, ensure that oil completely covers heating elements.

Prior to use, thoroughly clean unit as described in Operator's Manual.

Purging the Oil Lines

Before filling the vat with frying oil for the first time, purge the oil lines to ensure all water or mineral oil is removed. Also wipe out the vat to remove dust or other debris.

  1. Turn the fryer OFF.

  2. Fill the ATO tank with fresh oil.

  3. Press and hold the P button until is *MAIN* displayed. Release the button.

  4. Select 1. FILTER from the menu.

  5. Press and release P button to step to page 3 of menu.

  6. Select 9. PUMP TEST.

  7. Enter Manager code 123.

  8. Use right arrow button to advance to TEST-2.

  9. Press and release the FLTR button to turn on main filter pump. Let the pump run until the line is cleared and only air is pumping in. Press FLTR button again to turn the pump off.

  10. Lastly, press and release the ATO button. Let it run until clean oil from the Fresh Oil Tank is pumping in. Press and release ATO button again to turn the pump off.

  11. Wipe the vat with a clean, disposable towel.

  12. Press and hold the P button to exit from Pump Test mode.

Manually Filling the Vat

  1. The vat has 2 level indicator lines inscribed on the rear wall. The lower line is the fill limit for cold oil. The upper line is where the oil will expand to when heated.

  2. Fill the vat with cold new oil to the lower limit line.

  3. Power on the unit to begin normal operation.
