Checking and Tightening Element Spreader Bars
To extend the life of the temperature probe, high limit, and elements, every 90 days check the tightness of the element spreader bar screws, following the steps below.

Only perform this procedure when the unit is cool or severe burns may result. |

Drain oil from vat into filter pan.

Check that all spreader bars are in place (4 sets), and using a torque wrench, tighten all the element spreader screws.
NOTE: If the bolts or spreaders are missing or damaged, order replacement parts from your nearest Henny Penny distributor.

Pump oil back into vat and unit is now ready for use.
