Checking the Filter Pump
Use the following testing procedure on new or old fryers.
- Ensure the fryer vat is empty of all oil and product.
-
Open the front door of the fryer.
-
Turn the main power switch to the pump position. Open the filter valve. You will hear the electric motor running.
-
Place your thumb over the open filter union flare. You should feel suction. If you do not, contact Henny Penny customer support or your local service technician.
-
Close the filter valve. Turn off the pump.
NOTICE - |
To avoid damage to the filter pump, only run the filter pump for a few seconds during testing. |
The electric motor bearings are permanently lubricated. Do not lubricate.
This completes the testing cycle. If any of the functions did not occur, recheck the installation. If a problem persists, refer to the other sections of this manual or call an authorized Henny Penny distributor.
