The drain valve opens when the drain valve handle is pulled out and drains the oil out of the vat.
To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |

Using a 3/8” socket, remove the nuts securing the drain switch bracket, and pull the bracket from the studs.

Remove the nut securing the drain handle and pull the handle from the drain valve.

Using a large adjustable wrench, unscrew the drain valve and extension from the unit.

Replace the drain valve and extension.

Replace the drain switch bracket.

Adjust the microswitch to be no more than 1/8 inch (3 mm) from the shaft of the drain valve.
Listen for click of switch while pulling drain valve handle.
