Burn Risk

Using PPE, remove hot oil from fryer before performing procedure or personal injury may occur.

Note: All new pipe joints must include pipe sealant.

  1. Remove the ‘U’ shaped tube from the existing assembly and discard.

  2. Remove the reducer assembly that screws to the check valve. This includes a 3/8” close nipple, a black iron reducer, and a compression fitting body. Attempt to keep the check valve on the vat. This may not be possible, but if the check valve is removed, whatever is in the pot will leak on the floor.

  3. Screw the 4” long black iron pipe nipple assembly (#56979) into the check valve.

  4. Assemble the filter valve to the black iron elbow at the front of the previous assembly. Note: The end with the separate hex fitting should be at the top.

  5. Assemble the tee assembly to the filter valve using the new 3/8 in. close nipple

  6. Attach the tubing assembly. It should run from the pump to the tee assembly. In order to gain clearance, it may be necessary to loosen the pump motor where it mounts to the fryer frame. DO NOT remove the pump motor, simply loosen the bolts to allow you to move the pump motor assembly for proper alignment.

  7. Ensure the pump motor is again securely mounted.
