Replacing the Temperature Probe

The temperature probe relays the actual oil temperature to the control. If it becomes disabled, “E-6” shows in the display. If the temperature is out of calibration more than10° F, or 10° C, the temperature probe should be replaced.

1. Remove electrical power supplied to the fryer.

2. Drain the oil from the vat.

3. Remove the control panel.

4. Use a 1/2 in. wrench, remove the nut on the compression fitting.

5. Remove the temperature probe from the vat.

6. Tighten the compression nut hand tight and then a half turn with a wrench.

7. Connect new temperature probe to PC board and replace control panel.

8. Replace oil and turn power on.
