Converting a HMR from 3 phase to 1 phase

Disconnect the power.

There are two wires at the main contactor which must be moved in order to accomplish this

Move the wire labeled L3A-1 from the L3 terminal and connect it to the L1A terminal on the contactor.

Move the wire labeled L3A-2 from the L3 terminal and connect it to the L2A terminal of the contactor.

Install a new single phase, 4 wire, power cord. Ensure the power cord and plug are sufficient to handle the new current draw.
Converting a HMR from 1 phase to 3 phase

Disconnect the power.

Move the wire labeled L3A-2 from the L2A terminal and connect it to the L3 terminal of the contactor.

Install a new three phase, 5 wire, power cord. Ensure the power cord and plug are sufficient to handle the new current draw.
