Replacing the High Limit Automatic Reset

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power.

  1. Remove the crosshead screws securing the bottom, rear cover and let hinge down.

  2. Pull wires from high limit.

    To check high, use a multimeter or continuity tester, and put leads on each terminal of high limit. With the unit at room temperature, the meter shows a closed circuit if high limit is good. Replace high limit if meter shows circuit is open.

  3. Using 1/4” socket, remove nuts securing high limit, pull it from the unit.

  4. Replace new high limit in reverse order.
