Replacing the Blower Motor

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, disconnect power before installing or servicing equipment. A qualified technician must perform the service procedures.

  1. Remove the cross head screws securing the bottom, rear cover and let hinge down.

  2. Remove the three screws from the blower bracket and pull blower motor assembly from housing.

  3. Using an Allen wrench, loosen the set screw securing the fan blade to the blower motor and pull fan blade from motor

  4. Cut wires to blower motor and pull motor from unit.

  5. Strip back the cut wires, and connect new blower motor wires to these wires, using wire splicers or wire nuts.

  6. Install new blower motor in reverse order.
