Troubleshooting the W-6 Slow Cooking Warning

Overview

The W-6 slow cooking error occurs when the elapsed time of the cook cycle exceeds the slow cook warning limit for that product and there was either a W-2 slow heat up warning recorded earlier in the day, or a W-7 low amps warning was triggered during the last cook cycle.

Call Avoidance

To help the end user resolve the issue without a service call:

  • Check Power Cords: Unplug and reconnect the power cord to ensure there is no low voltage condition.

  • Check Breakers: Verify there is not an issue with one of the breakers. Turn the breaker off and back on at the wall panel to ensure each leg is making proper contact.
