Testing Thermostat

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |
If the thermostat fails to work properly, perform the following checks before replacing the thermostat

Remove electrical power supplied to the fryer.

Remove the control panel.

With an ohmmeter or continuity light, check for continuity.

To check continuity on a standard temperature thermostat, check between terminals 52 and 53. Move the temperature knob from off to maximum.

At off position, the circuit should be open. At maximum, the circuit should be closed.
