Troubleshooting Oil Melting or Heating Slowly
Overview
If the oil is melting or heating too slowly, follow this procedure to determine the cause and resolve.
The Exit Melt option on ARM Computron 8000 controllers was removed in May 2016 to ensure oil life is not decreased prematurely on fryers.
Troubleshooting

Enter Special Programming.

Ensure the fryer options are set to liquid melt mode if using liquid oil.
If set to solid melt mode, the time taken to go through melt mode would greatly increase.

If the problem is still occurring with the correct melt mode setting, enter Tech Mode.

Navigate to Outputs and check amp draws or coil voltages to heating elements by energizing the safety and heat contactors.
