Converting SCR 6 or 8 between Phases

Kit number

14199

Estimated Time

30 to 45 Minutes

The SCR 6 and 8 Rotisserie can be converted from 3 phase to 1 phase or from 1 phase to 3 phase in the field.

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power.

Converting a SCR 8 from 3 phase to 1 phase

  1. Remove electrical power supplied to the unit.

  2. Replace the terminal block with a 1 phase terminal block.

  3. Replace the contactor with a 1 phase contactor.

IMPORTANT: The phase 1 configuration will pull more amperage so a higher amperage rated contactor is required.

  4. On the power supply side of the contactor, connect the L1 and L2 incoming power with a jumper between the L2 and L3 terminal.

  5. On the load side of the contactor, connect wires:

    1. 20, 24, and 53 to L1 terminal

    2. 18 and 27 to L2 terminal

    3. 25 and 52 to L3 terminal

  6. Replace the power cord.
