To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |
Converting a SCR 8 from 3 phase to 1 phase
-
Remove electrical power supplied to the unit.
-
Replace the terminal block with a 1 phase terminal block.
-
Replace the contactor with a 1 phase contactor.
IMPORTANT: The phase 1 configuration will pull more amperage so a higher amperage rated contactor is required.
-
On the power supply side of the contactor, connect the L1 and L2 incoming power with a jumper between the L2 and L3 terminal.
-
On the load side of the contactor, connect wires:
-
20, 24, and 53 to L1 terminal
-
18 and 27 to L2 terminal
-
25 and 52 to L3 terminal
-
-
Replace the power cord.
