Adjusting the Filter Pan Limit Switch
Required tools
Needle Nose Pliers x 2
11/16” (17 mm) Wrench or Socket

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, disconnect power before installing or servicing equipment. A qualified technician must perform the service procedures. |

Only perform this procedure when the unit is cool or severe burns may result. |
Preparing the Fryer
- Turn power switch off.
- Ensure fryer is cool to the touch before moving.
- Pull out the fryer and unplug from power source.
- Remove filter pan from unit.
Removing the Switch

Using a 11/16” (17mm) wrench or socket, remove nut securing p-clip to bracket and nuts securing switch to bracket.

Unplug switch wires from wire connector by pressing in on tabs on either side of connector.

Remove switch from unit.
Note: Only multi-well units with have switch bracket. Single well units will look slightly different but procedure is the same.

Use one set of pliers to bend arm up at point shown. Use second set of pliers to support welded arm mount as shown. This adjustment will move arm off switch membrane.

Use one set of pliers to bend arm down at these points shown. Use second set of pliers to support welded arm mount as shown. This adjustment will pull toggle closer to switch body and protrude less into the path of the filter pan.

In reverse order, complete steps 7 through 1 and return fryer to operation.

The larger the gap between arm and membrane the more pre-travel the trip arm will have before activating.
