Replacing the Blower Motor Assembly

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |
The blower motor assembly induces the draft for the burners. If the blower motor fails, the air switch will fail to close, causing "E-20B" error code in the display.

Remove electrical power supplied to the unit.

Remove screws securing the two rear covers to the unit.

Remove the wire cover from the blower motor housing.

Remove the wire nuts connecting blower motor wires to wires in conduit.

Loosen conduit from blower motor.

Remove screws connecting flue to bracket in upper frame.
-
Remove screws connecting flue to blower.
-
Use 3/8 in. nut driver to remove nuts securing blower to the unit. Pull blower from unit.

Install new blower.
