Retrofitting Procedure
-
Turn power switch off.
-
Ensure fryer is cool to the touch before moving.
-
Pull out the fryer and unplug from power source.
-
Open the door where the filter pan is located and remove the pan and set to the side.
-
Locate the nuts on both sides securing the CE motor cover housing and remove using a 7/16 wrench. Remove the front and top motor shield and discard.
-
Disconnect the inlet and outlet plumbing connections from the pump.
-
Access the motor power panel and disconnect the power cord and pull through the bottom bracket grommet.
-
Remove the nuts holding the motor using a 7/16 wrench (see image above). Lift the motor up and over to allow room to remove the bottom cover bracket.
-
Re-attach pump motor assembly to the base, but do not tighten.
-
Reconnect inlet and outlet plumbing connections and tighten.
-
Tighten pump motor to base plate.
-
Re-connect motor power cord.
- Install the new CE pump motor shield to the door frame using two self-drilling screws provided into existing holes on the door brace or frame rail. Do not tighten completely.
- Install the lower screw into the base plate lip using a self-drilling screw provided (see image above). Do not tighten completely.
- Adjust the position of the cover as required to allow alignment with the reset switch and tighten all screws down.
- Clean up any metal shavings and re-install filter pan into fryer.
- Working in reverse, complete steps 3 through 1 and return fryer to service.
