This kit is for making modifications to 690 CE units with the temperature probe connected directly to the 15 pin connector. This kit will create an intermediate connection for easier separation and replacement of the temperature probe
-
Disconnect power from the 690 unit.
-
Cut the (2) wires on the temp. probe 3 to 4” from the 15 pin connector.
-
Strip the newly exposed ends 1/8”.
-
Crimp (2) EC01-023 terminals on the ends of the wires still attached to the 15 pin terminal.
-
Insert these terminal ends into the EC01-028 connector provided in positions 3 and 4.

Crimp (2) EC01-020 terminals on the ends of the wires still attached to the temp. probe.
-
Insert these terminal ends into the remaining EC01-027 connector in positions 3 and 4.
-
Connect EC01-028 and EC01-027.
