FM08-481 8 Head Replacing the Control
Required tools
Crosstip head screwdriver
Flathead screwdriver
Marker or pen
Estimated Time

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |

Remove power from unit.

Open large box, remove small box containing new controller, open small box, and identify fryer on which the controller is to be replaced by comparing panel faces.

Write down all product cooking times and polish settings programmed into old controller NOW as new controllers(s) must be programmed with the same settings after installation.

Use a crosstip head screwdriver to remove two screws.

Use a flathead screwdriver to pry out the side of the controller so you can grasp it.

Pull controller out of opening and pivot top of controller down toward you.

Slide bottom edge of controller up into vertical slot at bottom of opening to hold controller in position.

Sketch the position of all connectors on back of controller or use your cell phone to photograph all the connectors to ensure proper installation.

Unplug connectors from back of controller. Squeeze white tabs and pull. Lift front of controller to remove.

Install new controller in reverse order and program new controller with old settings.

Repeat preceding steps to replace all controllers.

Place the old controller in the plastic bag, put in the small box, and tape the box.

Place all the small boxes containing the old controllers in the large original shipping box.

Remove Prepaid Return label from Packing List envelope, if not yet done, tape the large box closed, and affix the label over the original label on the large box.
