NOTE: This system is designed to operate using a 1/2 hp pump motor, if motor plate reads 1/3 change to 1/2 hp pump motor.

  1. Disconnect power to fryer and allow it to cool.

  2. Remove rear cover screws and rear cover from fryer.

  3. NOTES: OFG unites have two covers, OFE unites have one cover. Figure 1 depicts an OFG unit.

  4. Loosen the nuts on the 5/8" tubing. Remove and discard tubing.

  5. Remove the front filter nipple that is connected to the tee and discard.

  6. Remove fittings from top of the pump, replace with 1/2" close nipple from the kit.

  7. Place compression elbow in the port on the same side of the valve stem opening.

  8. NOTE: Remove the nut that is screwed to the top of the valve stem and SAVE for reuse.

  9. Attach new tubing assembly to fryer.

  10. NOTE: The longer tube is for gas which is shown in the photo. The shorter tube is for electric fryers. Discard the one that is not used.

  11. Tighten the 5/8" tube fittings onto the pump and existing fryer.

  12. Place pipe plug in the opening where the 1/2" nipple was removed.

  13. Place the stop spacer onto the valve stem with tab down.

  14. Connect the extension rod to the valve stem and use the cotter pin to secure it. Slide the support bracket down the rod and secure it to the frame with two screws provided from the kit.

  15. Connect the handle bracket to the extension rod using the screw that came attached to valve stem. Bracket should be oriented so that when the valve is closed the "Filter oil" text is facing the front of the fryer.

  16. Place the black iron street elbow in valve port facing the back of the fryer.

  17. Connect the hose assembly to street elbow.

  18. Install the male quick-disconnect to the manifold attached to the wall behind the fryer.

  19. Connect the female quick-disconnect to the male end.
