316 L Stainless steel welding filler rod

GTAW Welding torch and protection

Procedure

Remove the two screws at the rear of the lid cover.

Tilt rear of lid cover up, then push toward the front of the fryer to remove the lid cover.

Ensure the latch pin block is mounted tight to the lid handle wedlment. If this is loose replace latch pin block.

Use gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) with argon shield gas at 80-140 amps and a 316 L .062 in. stainless steel filler to fillet weld latch pin block top and bottom on the lid handle.

Use a wire brush to remove heat discoloration.

Replace lid cover and secure with two screws.
