Armored Cable Grounding Installation Instructions for Australia

This kit was created for a one time use for JLL and Red Rooster, Australia to add a ground cable to Velocity PXE/OXE 100 fryers.

1. To add the grounding wire, start by loosening the strain relief.

2. Pull the cord through the relief far enough that the cord jacket is accessible.

3. Strip cord jacket 1.25 in. There is a steel woven sheath under the cord jacket.

   

4. Strip the jacket to the sheathing.

5. There is a plastic covering on top of the steel sheathing that must be removed prior to installing the clamp.

6. Install the ground clamp on the cord.

7. Insert the ground wire into the ground clamp.

8. Tighten the clamp onto the armored cable shielding.

   

9. Pull the power cord slack out of the junction box.

10. Tighten the cord strain relief.

    

11. Attach the ground wire ring terminal to the ground stud.
