Conversion From C8000 Control to KFC SMS Control

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |

Remove the 2 crosstip head screws form the control panel.

Lift panel up and out.

Unplug the 9-pin connector and the probe connection at the control board.

Remove control from unit.
-
Remove the 2 crosstip head screws securing transformer.
-
Remove transformer from unit.
-
Locate the inner heat shield kit and install in unit.
-
Locate relays in kit and install in fryer.
-
Secure with nuts supplied in the kit.
-
Remove the retaining clip from the top of the solenoid housing and remove the cover.
-
Pull the coil housing from solenoid and remove the coil from housing.
-
Replace coil with low voltage coil supplied in the kit. Ensure to replace the spacers from the old coil onto the new coil.

Locate solenoid wires #18 & #53 in kit. Connect these wires to solenoid wires and attach wires to the correct locations.

Remove left pilot tube and replace with new tube from kit.

Locate the wiring harnesses in kit and place wires in fryer.

These wires plug into 15-pin connector:

#18 plug pin into connector #3 location
-
#60 plug pin into connector #4 location
-
#20 plug pin into connector #5 location
-
#21 plug pin into connector #6 location

Locate control panel in kit and plug connectors onto panel and install panel on front of fryer. Fryer is now ready for use.
