To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the power switch to OFF and disconnect power. |

Disconnect the fryer from the power supply.

Loosen 2 screws and remove the control by first lifting up and then pulling out far enough to see the electrical connections.

Disconnect electrical connections and remove old control.

Attach green ground on the long extension to one of the available screws in the lower compartment.

Add the new extensions to the electrical connectors.

Carefully place the new internal shroud into the control area. Be sure to pull the wires through the hole in the top. Secure with (2) 3/8 long thread forming screws using the bottom set of holes as shown.

Carefully cut the connector off the probe wires (figure 6), strip to a length of 3/8”, then wire nut to the extension as shown

Connect electrical connections to the new control.

Ensure to connect the 2-pin, E20 connector to the new SMS controls. The 2-pin
connector was disconnected from the “old” controls and needs connected to the “new” controls.

Place new control on the fryer.

Secure the control to the fryer with the (2) 5/8 long machine screws.
